Cookbook Curator PRO ("we," "our," or "the app") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your information when you use our iOS application.

Information We Collect

Recipe Data. Recipes, cookbook titles, page numbers, personal notes, tags, and images you create or scan within the app. This data is stored locally on your device and, if you enable iCloud, synced via Apple's iCloud service.

Photos. When you use the camera or photo library to scan recipe pages, images are processed on-device and via our AI service to extract recipe text. Photos are not stored on our servers after processing is complete.

Account Information. If you sign in with Apple or Google, we receive a unique identifier and, optionally, your name and email address. This is used solely for authentication purposes.

Usage Analytics. We may collect anonymous, aggregated usage data (such as feature usage frequency) to improve the app. This data cannot be used to identify you personally.

How We Use Your Information

• To provide and maintain the app's core functionality (recipe scanning, organization, and storage)
• To sync your recipe library across your devices via iCloud
• To authenticate your identity when you sign in
• To improve the app's features and user experience
• To process recipe photos through our AI extraction service

Data Storage and Security

Your recipe data is stored locally on your device using Apple's SwiftData framework. If iCloud sync is enabled, data is stored in your private iCloud container, managed entirely by Apple. We do not have access to your iCloud data.

Photos submitted for AI recipe extraction are transmitted securely via HTTPS to our processing service. Images are processed in real time and are not retained after the recipe text has been extracted.

Third-Party Services

The app uses the following third-party services:

• Apple iCloud — for cross-device data synchronization. Subject to Apple's Privacy Policy.
• Sign in with Apple / Google Sign-In — for authentication. Subject to Apple's and Google's respective privacy policies.
• OpenAI API — for AI-powered recipe extraction. Recipe page text is sent for processing. Subject to OpenAI's Privacy Policy.

Data Sharing

We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information to third parties. We do not share your data with third parties except as described above (authentication providers and AI processing), and only to the extent necessary to provide the app's functionality.

Your Rights

You can:

• Delete any or all of your recipes, cookbooks, and associated data at any time within the app
• Delete your account and all associated data by contacting us
• Disable iCloud sync at any time through your device settings
• Export your recipes as PDF before deleting your data

Children's Privacy

The app is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can delete it.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any material changes by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Your continued use of the app after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised policy.
